Lumberjills defeat Lady Panthers 51-36

The Patterson Lumberjills defeated the Berwick Lady Panthers 51-36 in District 9-3A action in Berwick Friday.
Patterson was led by Briyanna Butler and Randalyn Paul, who each had 15 points, and Lanasia Firmin, who had 12 points.
Lay Bertrand led Berwick with 20 points.
Berwick will continue District 9-3A action on the road Tuesday when it travels to face Lutcher.
Patterson will return to action Tuesday when it hosts E.D. White in league play.
CCHS falls to
Highland Baptist
Central Catholic fell to Highland Baptist 56-45 in District 8-1A action Friday in New Iberia.
Highland Baptist led just 35-33 after three quarters but outscored Central Catholic 21-12 in the final period for the victory.
Early on, Highland Baptist took a 13-10 lead after a quarter, led 22-19 at halftime and Central Catholic cut its deficit to 35-33 after three quarters.
Yani Johnson led Central Catholic with 16 points while Charlotte Callais also reached double figures with 14 points. Other Central Catholic scorers were as follows: Jade Oliney, six; Laurielle Bias, four; Kamille Lightfoot and Brianna Johnson, two each; and Lexi Landry, one.
Central Catholic returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Vermilion Catholic.
Morgan City falls
to South Terrebonne
The Morgan City Lady Tigers fell to South Terrebonne 49-40 in District 8-4A in Bourg Friday.
No individual stats were available.
Morgan City will return to action Tuesday when it travels to Houma to face Vandebilt Catholic.
