T.J. Malveaux spotlighted at NFL Draft
Morgan City native T.J. Malveaux, owner of Draft Picks Barbershop of Baton Rouge, participated in Procter & Gamble’s VIP Style Lounge during the 2017 NFL Draft in Philadelphia in April. The lounge staff helped prepare top NFL prospects and their families for the draft. Malveaux worked shoulder-to-shoulder with Gilette, Old Spice, Head & Shoulders, Braun, Secret and Pantene. He served as barber for ex-LSU standout Tre’Davious White during an Adidas photoshoot in Philadelphia, too. Malveaux’s work was praised on ESPN’s live coverage of the 2017 NFL Draft’s Red Carpet, and ex-LSU standout Jamal Adams told ESPN he brought Malveaux to Philadelphia to cut his and White’s hair for the draft. White and Adams were selected in the draft’s first round. Adams was the No. 6 overall selection by the New York Jets and White, No. 27 by the Buffalo Bills. Above, Malveaux cuts Adams’ hair.
