St. Mary AARP holds meeting

St. Mary Parish AARP Chapter 4435 held its monthly meeting on April 1 at the St. Mary Senior Citizens Center, home of St. Mary AARP, in Morgan City.

A trip to Mindi’s DIY Art Shack in Franklin was a recent outing for Patterson Garden Club members. Attending were Rosa Butler, Linda Thomas, Ginger Griffin, Iris Roy, Sharon Larson, Donna Ruffin, Juanita Bienvenu and guest Paula Lemoine. After the lesson, the group ate lunch at the Forrest Restaurant and discussed plans for next year’s programs.

Patterson Garden Club members have art day

A trip to Mindi’s DIY Art Shack in Franklin was a recent outing for Patterson Garden Club members.

Ortega is Patterson Garden Club speaker

St. Mary Parish AARP Chapter 4435 held its monthly meeting on Feb. 4 at the St. Mary Senior Citizens Center, home of St. Mary AARP, in Morgan City.

Ginger Griffin, Patterson Garden Club member, gave a program demonstrating the use of quick drying clay to form a dish then pressed a large leaf in it to form a design during the club’s Jan. 15 meeting. President Evelyn Estay led the business meeting prior to the program. The next meeting will be Feb. 19. A plant exchange will be held.
