Berwick's Lipari earns honorable mention Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class 3A All-State softball honors

Berwick High School had one honorable mention selection on the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class 3A All-State team.
Senior Jordan Lipari made the squad. Lipari, a Millsaps College signee, saw time at pitcher, third base and shortstop for the Lady Panthers this season.
Lipari batted .398 with 23 RBIs and just two strikeouts all season. She had a .495 on-base percentage and a .548 slugging percentage.
She recorded a .903 fielding percentage.
On the mound, Lipari pitched in 23 games and threw 93 innings, recording a 6.22 earned run average.
“She had an outstanding season, and I just couldn’t be more proud of her getting this honor and can’t wait to see what she does at the next level,” Berwick High Softball Coach Heather Templet said.
First-team all-state representatives from District 8-3A, which Berwick competes in, include North Vermilion junior pitcher Shelby Breaux, North Vermilion senior catcher Demi Boudreaux, North Vermilion junior infielder Kaylee Lopez, E.D. White senior outfielder Anna Rodenburg and junior utility selection Kylie Naomi of North Vermilion.
Lopez, who batted .612 this season, was named Outstanding Player, while Beau Bouvier of Class 3A runner-up Brusly is Class 3A’s Coach of the Year.
Honorable mention selections from District 8-3A include E.D. White’s MacKenzie Gros and Avery Sanders.
