Woodard wins national title

Braylin Rene Woodard of Patterson was crowned National All-American Miss Junior Pre-Teen during a pageant held Nov. 12, 2012, in Anaheim, Calif. This is an “all-natural scholarship pageant” where she competed with 135 other girls from all over the world, said her mother Misty Woodard. She is also the daughter of Wade Woodard.

She started her journey in 2008 where she was crowned Miss Louisiana Princess. Her mom said, since beginning this pageant system she has also been in four commercials, one of them which was a national Post-It commercial which aired around the world.

The Hattie Watts Elementary School fourth-grader is 10 years old and is on her way to accomplishing her dreams. She will be traveling to different states this summer to help other girls achieve their dreams.

In November she will again travel to California where she will crown the new National All-American Miss Junior Pre-Teen during the national pageant.

Her first stop will be in Baton Rouge in June where she will be cheering on her friends and sharing her experiences in the Louisiana National American Miss pageant.

“Keep up the good work at being a great role model for young girls,” her parents said. “We are very proud of her.”
