William M. “Baboo” Gray, 65, a resident of Franklin, and a native of Baldwin, died Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 1:25 a.m., at Franklin Healthcare Center in Franklin.

Visitation will be Friday, August 16, at Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church in Franklin, from 8:00 a.m. until funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery. Officiating, Rev. Randle.

William was a veteran of the United States Navy, receiving The National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with one bronze star, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Navy Unit Commendation.

William leaves to cherish his memories two sons, William (Tammy) Gray and Scottie (Danielle) Gray, both of Franklin; one daughter, LaQuanda Gray (Cedric) of Baldwin; a sister, Victoria Gray Tarleton of Decatur, Georgia; seven grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

William was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother.
