Falgout and Duckworth joined in marriage
Haley Elizabeth Falgout and Kade Steven Duckworth exchanged vows on Saturday, October 12 at 7 p.m. at Joseph’s Catholic Church in Loreauville. Father Steve LeBlanc officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Troy Falgout of New Iberia and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Neuville of Loreauville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Waguespack and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Falgout of New Iberia. She is a 2008 graduate of New Iberia Senior High and is a certified orthodontic assistant. She is currently employed with Dr. Melanie Fowler.
The groom is the son of Wesley Duckworth and Ms. Kendra Duckworth. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Robicheaux of Centerville and Yvonne Moore of Oak Grove, Louisiana. He is a 2007 graduate of Centerville High School and is currently employed with Star Tech Marine Electronics.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore an ivory and café two-piece gown with all-over lace appliques and a charmeuse slip beneath the lace overlay. The gown featured a V-neckline in front and back and a sweeping train. She wore a fingertip-length veil accented with lace and rhinestones and carried a bouquet of Avant Garde, lavender and camel antique roses, wax flowers, freesia, peonies, gypsophila, purple veronica, antique green hydrangea and hypericum berries tied with rhinestone accented lace.
Lynzie Miller Blanchard served as the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Kylie Neuville, sister of the bride; Hannah Hebert; Kelsie Duckworth, sister of the groom; Meghan Broussard; Michele Frederick; Alex Darby; Jency Landry and McKenzi Falgout, sister of the bride, served as junior bridesmaid.
The attendants wore eggplant, strapless, floor-length gowns and carried bouquets of quicksand roses, antique green hydrangea, wax flowers, purple veronica, gypsophila and hypericum berries tied with burlap and lace.
Wesley Duckworth, father of the groom, served as the best man. The groomsmen were Matthew Landry, Brody Hebert, Dylan Eddy, Brian LeBlanc, Derrick Lewis, Garret Veret, Devin Dautreauil and Hunter Neuville, brother of the bride, served as junior groomsman.
Krista Duckworth, godchild of the groom and daughter of Kelsie Duckworth, served as the flower girl. She wore an Ivory tea-length lace and chiffon dress and carried a pomander ball of gypsophila with lace accents. Lukah Verdon, son of Kelsie Duckworth and Devin Verdon, served as the ring bearer.
The ushers were Dylan and Austin LeBlanc, brothers of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Saint Theresa Hall. The reception was decorated with lace and burlap covered tables topped with assorted flower arrangements of roses, wax, gypsophila, bells of Ireland and candles. Wooden barrels topped with burlap and candles were used to accent the dance floor and lighted vine balls hung above the dance floor. The four-layer, ivory wedding cake was accented with vines and fresh roses and sat upon an antique suitcase. The groom’s cake was shaped like a dirt bike tire.
Following the reception, the couple departed for a honeymoon trip to Cozumel and Progresso Mexico.
The couple will reside in New Iberia.
