VOLLEYBALL: Lady Panthers down Patterson on the road

The Berwick volleyball team made the short trip to Patterson and picked up a 3-0 win over its district rivals (25-16, 25-23, 25-22).
Caitlyn Fontenot had six kills, four digs and an ace to lead the Lumberjills; Jessica Decuir had four kills; Chynna Williams had four kills and two blocks; Kasey Stratton had an assist; Keisha Kinchen had two kills, two aces, four digs and an assist; Kaylan Johnson had an ace, a kill and four assists; Carissa Fontenot had eight assists; Katelyn Sonnier had two kills and three digs; and Carli McIntyre had four digs.
The Berwick junior varsity also won 2-0 (25-13, 26-24).
The Lumberjills Rachel Easley led Patterson with seven kills and two aces; Rebecca Taylor had three aces; and Katelyn Thibodaux had two assists.
Berwick stats were unavailable as of press time.
CCHS downs Delcambre at the Matchbox
Central Catholic’s volleyball team beat Delcambre on Tuesday at the Matchbox 3-0 (25-20, 25-11, 25-13).
Brienna Hill had five kills and a block; Geralynn Garrett had nine kills and a block; Meo Knight had 10 kills, four digs and a block; Celine Flores had eight kills, five digs and two aces; Caroline Byrne had 29 assists and four digs; Amanda Barron had five kills, seven digs and four assists; Abbie Bergeron had six digs and three aces; and Maria Templet had seven digs and five aces.
The Lady Eagles will travel to face Riverside Academy on Thursday.
