Berwick High School volleyball standout Brie Hill signed with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Wednesday to continue her playing career with the Ragin’ Cajuns. She was joined by family and teammates as well as former and current coaches for a celebration at Berwick Wednesday afternoon. Brie Hill will be following in her father’s footsteps as she will attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette next year.
Central Catholic will begin play in the state tournament Thursday against No. 5 seed Academy of Sacred Heart Grand Coteau at 10:50 a.m. The Lady Eagles, the No. 4 seed, enter the state tournament for the fourth consecutive year. They have fallen in the state semifinals the last three years and the prior year, the state quarterfinals.
