Three arrested in Bayou Vista marijuana bust

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:

—Dustin Michael Aucoin, 21, of the 100 block of Moon Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 2:30 p.m. Thursday for possession of schedule I (marijuana).

—Kayla Lillian Comeaux, 25, of the 100 block of Moon Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 2:30 p.m. Thursday for possession of schedule I (marijuana) second offense and on a warrant from Patterson Police Department for possession of stolen things.

—Jamichael Deray Bowie, 24, of the 2600 block of Fourth Street in Berwick, was arrested at 2:30 p.m. Thursday for possession of schedule I (marijuana) and on warrants for failure to appear on the charge of possession of schedule I (marijuana) and traffic offenses. Bowie was also wanted on a warrant from Berwick Police Department for theft of goods (shoplifting).

Narcotics division detectives conducted an investigation into illegal drug activity at a residence in the 100 block of Moon Road and located marijuana inside the residence. Detectives also learned that Bowie and Comeaux both had active warrants for their arrest. They were taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set. Aucoin was released on a summons to appear in court on Nov. 6.

—Nicholas Feliciano, 18, of the 2000 block of Allison Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 5:19 p.m. Thursday for possession of schedule I (marijuana), violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone), possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile, and improper display of a temporary tag.

—A juvenile male, 16, of Morgan City, was arrested at 5:19 p.m. Thursday for possession of schedule I (marijuana).

Narcotics detectives patrolling the Morgan City area observed a vehicle with no license plate displayed and conducted a traffic stop. When detectives met with the driver, identified as Feliciano, they saw marijuana in plain view inside the vehicle. Feliciano was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrests:

—Kyle Sanders, 41, of the 2800 block of Third Street in Berwick, was arrested at 8:22 a.m. Thursday for driving under suspension, turn signal required, and on a warrant for failure to appear in Berwick mayor’s court. Sanders was released on bail.

—Damien Hale, 23, of the 200 block of Cedar Street in Franklin, was arrested at 2:39 a.m. today for theft by shoplifting. Hale is still being held awaiting bail.

Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
