Teen arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile

Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch reported the following arrests:

—A runaway juvenile of Berwick was arrested at noon Thursday. The juvenile was released to the mother and possible juvenile court proceedings are pending.

—Erik Louviere, 17, of Morgan City, was arrested at 3:15 p.m. Thursday for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Louviere had been a suspect in an ongoing police detectives’ division investigation and was brought in for questioning, according to Crouch. Police did not release any other details. Louviere was charged and is being held awaiting bail.

—Robert Gussman Sr., 63, of Morgan City, was arrested at 7:35 p.m. Thursday for disturbing the peace. Gussman was released on cash bail.

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:

—Bryson Verdin, 22, of Sun Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 4:55 p.m. Thursday on two warrants for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana. Sheriff’s detectives were patrolling the Bayou Vista area when they were contacted to assist patrol units with a complaint of a disturbance. Detectives made contact with Verdin who had active warrants for his arrest. Verdin was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set.

—Drala Kinkle, 17, of Mercury Street in Pierre Part, was arrested at 8 p.m. Thursday for modified exhaust and possession of schedule I — marijuana. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area observed a vehicle with loud, modified exhaust. Also, the deputy was unable to see the driver because of the tint on window of the vehicle. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Kinkle. The deputy received consent to search the vehicle and Kinkle and located a marijuana cigarette in Kinkle’s pocket, according to Hebert. Kinkle was released on a summons to appear in court on July 5.

Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:

—David W. Johnson Jr., 25, of Shady Grove in Patterson, was arrested at 10:58 p.m. Thursday for disturbing the peace by fighting. Johnson is being held on $336 bail.

—Irvin Ramos, 22, of Allison Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:58 p.m. Thursday for the disturbing the peace fighting. Ramos was released on $336 bail.

Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
