Teche Theatre slates upcoming events
Upcoming events for the Teche Theatre for the Performing Arts have been slated.
The Teche will be holding auditions for its upcoming production of the female version of Neil Simons “The Odd Couple.”
Unger and Madison are at it again! Florence Unger and Olive Madison, that is. Instead of the poker party that begins the original version, Ms. Madison has invited the girls over for an evening of Trivial Pursuit.
The Pidgeon sisters have been replaced by the two Constanzuela brothers. But the hilarity remains the same.
The cast consists of six females and two males of varying age ranges. This production is a comedy and rehearsals will begin in August for shows in October.
Minimum female age range is 17 and up and male age range is 20 and up.
Auditions will be held July 28 and 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the Teche Theatre for the Performing Arts in Franklin
Teche is also presenting A.R. Gurneys “Love Letters,” starring Carolyn Higdon and Arthur Louviere, on Aug. 2 and 3, 7:30p.m. Admission is $10.
Enjoy an adult evening before the kids go back to school with a night of wine, relaxation, fun and laughter with the 50-year love story of Mellissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III.
Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner, both born to wealth and position, are childhood friends whose lifelong correspondence begins with birthday party thank you notes and summer camp postcards. Romantically attached, they continue to exchange letters through the boarding school and college years until Melissa’s untimely death, which makes it eloquently clear how much they really meant, and gave to, each other over the years — physically apart, perhaps, but spiritually as close as only true lovers can be.
