Teche Regional Medical Center welcomes new general surgeon
Butch Frazier, chief executive officer of Teche Regional Medical Center, announced Monday that Dr. T. Chris Berry, M.D., a general surgeon, has recently joined the Teche Regional Medical Center’s medical staff.
Berry received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. In addition, he completed his general surgery residency and internship at University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, Tenn. He is American board certified in general surgery.
Berry joins Dr. Kristi Prejeant at Morgan City Surgical. “We are pleased that we were able to provide an opportunity for Dr. Berry to practice here. We will be able to provide additional general surgery services to the members of our community,” Frazier said.
As a general surgeon, Berry is specially trained to care for areas of the body — the abdominal organs, including the intestines, esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder and bile ducts, and thyroid gland. Berry also treats skin lesions and hernias.
Berry is now accepting new patients in his clinic, Morgan City Surgical. His clinic is located in the new Medical Plaza at 1302 Lakewood Drive, Suite 102. Appointments can be made by calling 985-384-3433.
