St. Mary Central holds closing ceremonies

The St. Mary Central 12U All-Stars fell 13-1 to Union Parish Monday in the Louisiana Dixie Youth North Regional Tournament in Winnsboro. The loss ended St. Mary Central’s season.

Regional play for 10s, 12s begins Friday

St. Mary Central 12-year-old All-Star Ryan Domingue is at third base during the District 3 Majors Championship game against Morgan City in Franklin Monday. St. Mary Central, the District 3 runner-up, will begin play in the north regional in Winnsboro Friday when it faces Pontiff Playground, the District 2 champion. (The Daily Review/Geoff Stoute)

Area 10-year-old and 12-year-old teams will continue Dixie Youth play this weekend as they begin play in their respective regionals in either Ponchatoula or Winnsboro.
