MADISONVILLE _ The Centerville Biddy Basketball 12-year-old All-Stars won the Madisonville Biddy Basketball Invitational Tournament here January 30-31.

Knights of Columbus free throw winners

The Patterson Knights of Columbus Bayou Vista Council 6211 sponsored a free-throw shooting contest at Berwick Junior High Jan. 12-13. All champions advanced to the district contest held Feb. 3 at Patterson Junior High. The winners
of that competition will advance to the Diocese competition Feb. 21 and finally, state, to be held at Teurlings Catholic March 12. Winners at the Berwick Junior High event were, kneeling from left, Winnie Mabile, 11-year-old girls; Kendall Nelson, 12-year-old girls; Arianna Jones, 13-year-old girls; and Sharyn Leonard, 14-year-old girls.
