Patterson 10U softball all-stars fall 7-3

The Patterson 10U All-Stars rally fell short against Magnolia, Arkansas, at the Babe Ruth Softball Southwest Regional in Magnolia, Arkansas, Wednesday night as the squad fell 7-3.

Theriot earns scholarship

Neal Michael Theriot Jr., a 2015 Berwick High School graduate, was awarded one of 81 Dixie Youth Baseball scholarships given out nationally. The $2,000 award is open to anyone who at one time during a baseball career played in a
Dixie Youth baseball league. Of the 1,340 scholarships that have been given since 1961, Louisiana has been represented by 125 recipients. Of that total, Theriot is the area’s fourth recipient and second in as many years. Other scholarship winners include the late John Guarisco of Morgan City in

The Patterson 10U softball All-Stars finished 0-2 in pool play action Tuesday at the Babe Ruth Southwest Regional, falling to Hamburg, Arkansas, and Littlefield, Texas.
