Berwick, Patterson baseball players earn Class 3A All-State recognition

Patterson and Berwick high schools were represented with Class 3A All-State recognitions as the schools each had three honorable mention selections.

Gilmore places at horseshoe event

Tim Gilmore of Bayou Vista won the Class A division of the Harahan MDA Horseshoe Tournament Benefit Saturday. Gilmore finished with a 5-1 mark and a ringer percentage of 51.6. He was tied with second-place finisher Pat Pertuit of Marrero after regulation, but he defeated her in a 40-shoe playoff game for
