The 100 Black Men of St. Mary Parish are busy teasing and enticing runners and walkers who sign up early this year for its annual fun run and walk, scheduled Sept. 3.
Al Dodson of Morgan City, a member of the Bayou Horseshoe Pitchers Association, placed sixth in the Elders D-1 class at the World Horseshoe Tournament in Montgomery, Alabama, recently. Dodson entered the tournament with a 45.09 ringer percentage and concluded the tournament with a 45.33 ringer percentage and a 9-6 record. Patterson 10U softball All-Star Amaya Williams was named to the Babe Ruth All-World Series team following the conclusion of the World Series in Jensen Beach, Florida, Wednesday.
