The Friends of the Blue Lodge Tournament was held Saturday at The Atchafalaya at Idlewild golf course near Patterson. The 3-player scramble consisted of gross and net divisions. Proceeds benefited free masonry in St. Mary Parish. The event will return again next year on April 16, 2016. James Blair, right, congratulates David Levingston of the Control Fire and Safety team for the first place gross team win (12 under par). Other members of the team were Chad Vining and Ryan Jennings. Levingston was also the winner of the Closest to the Hole Competition.
Patterson and Berwick high schools managed to complete a continuation game Friday in Patterson. The Lumberjacks were ahead 2-0 when the game was postponed due to lightning on April 16. Patterson added two more runs in Friday’s contest to win 4-0 securing second place in district. E.D. White stands in first place and Berwick is third.
