Taco Bell (Berwick High) defeated Robichaux Ford (Vandebilt Catholic) 6-2 in Swampland League Baseball action Tuesday in Berwick.

A St. Mary Parish 4-H’er has won the Junior Division in the Archery Recurve Sighted Modified FITA at the 4-H State Shooting Sports Competition held in Shreveport and Grand Cane.

St. Mary Parish Golf Field Day

The 2nd Annual St. Mary Parish Golf Field Day was held May 18 at The Atchafalaya at Idlewild near Patterson. Students learned about putting, chipping,
full swing and course strategy. They were taken for a tour of the course. A second clinic is planned for those interested in learning more about the game. Students watched demonstrations by Patterson High golfers Bryce Beaubouef, Cade Thibodaux and Joel Singleton. Ali Prescott, a winner on the Kelly Gibson Junior Tour, also participated. Instructors were Willie Edwards and David Schexnayder. Also assisting with the Field Day were Herman Hebert, Larry Pennison, Tom Boneval, Les Rulf, Clyde Crappell and Mike Ditch.
