MC, Franklin claim tourney wins again

FRANKLIN ALL-STAR TREY EDMOND stands on second base after lining a single in Thursday’s District 3-AA Tournament at Caffery Park. Action will continue tonight with two game before closing out on Saturday with four contests.

Morgan City and Franklin claimed victories in the second night of action in the 2016 District 3 AA 8-year-old Pitching Machine Tournament Thursday at Caffery Park.

Taco Bell tops Halimar, 4-1

Taco Bell’s Grant Oubre lays down a bunt during earlier season action against Skipper’s for Sports. Oubre tossed a one-hitter in six innings of work to earn the win in a 4-1 victory against Halimar Shipyard Wednesday. Taco Bell’s game with TrimCo Millwork & Supply today has been canceled. Taco Bell will return to action Monday when it hosts BCG Services. (The Daily Review/Geoff Stoute)
