A Patterson outfielder makes a throw back to the infield during Tuesday’s elimination contest with St. Mary Central in 10-year-old District 3 action. Patterson was eliminated with an 11-1 loss in four innings. St. Mary Central will face Morgan City in today’s championship game at 5 p.m. Because Morgan City is undefeated, St. Mary Central will have to win twice in the double-elimination tournament to earn a district title. Morgan City’s 10-year-old All-Stars finished the weekend 2-0 with wins against Thibodaux and St. Mary Central Saturday and Sunday, respectively. St. Mary Central and Patterson both finished 1-1 as St. Mary Central fell to Morgan City Sunday after defeating Patterson Saturday.
