St. Michael the Archangel defeated Central Catholic, 4-1, in nine innings in Amelia Wednesday in a battle of two of the top teams in their respective classes.

Levingston excels on golf course

David Levingston shot a 64 on Friday, playing from the Eagle Tees. He had eight birdies and no bogies. Playing partner Koby Percle said, “It's the best round I've ever seen. He had short putts for birdie all day. Really incredible.” The round marks the best score recorded from the Eagle Tees. The course record from the Gator Tees belongs to Tillman Simmons, who recorded a 66 in 2006.

Silver Dragon Taekwondo holds promotional ceremony

The Silver Dragon Taekwondo Academy held its 109th Promotional Test March 17, marking the start of its 28th year of teaching martial arts in the Morgan City area.
