The Society for Protective Coatings’ Gulf Coast Chapter held its inaugural golf tournament Oct. 30 at The Atchafalaya at Idlewild near Patterson. SSPC regulates specifications for painting in the oil and gas industry. Tournament organizers plan to have an annual event with proceeds going to scholarships benefitting students in the industry.
