Chaneys win gold in Colorado

Alphonse Chaney and Dy’man Chaney, Patterson natives, competed in the 7th Annual U.S. Open Hanmadang Taekwondo Championships in Colorado Springs, Colorado, June 19-20. They won gold medals in the individual traditional forms competition in their divisions and teamed to win gold in the team traditional forms competition. Alphonse Chaney is a 3rd Dan black belt registered through the Kukkiwon in Seoul, Korea. Dy’man Chaney is one of his students. She holds a green belt at the sixth geup level.
