Travel ball teams excel

The X-plosion 10U travel baseball team won the Fall Shootout in Port Allen Oct. 26 with a 4-0 mark. The tournament title was their second in as many appearances this fall. The squad now is 8-0. The Bayou Diamondbacks finished second in a Grand Slam tournament in Denham Springs Saturday and Sunday. The team, comprised of youngsters from Franklin, Berwick and Pierre Part, finished 2-2 and fell in the championship game to the Live Oak Bat Busters from Watson.
