Siracusa man arrested for simple battery
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
—Dexter Aucoin, 20, of Joey Street in Patterson, was arrested at 3:34 p.m. Tuesday for reckless operation. A deputy responded to a complaint of a reckless driver on Joey Street. During the investigation, the deputy learned that Aucoin was traveling in excess of the posted speed limit. Aucoin was issued a summons to appear in court on July 5.
—Roy Stewart, 57, of Ramos Street in Siracusa, was arrested at 9:49 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for simple battery and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. A deputy located Stewart at his residence. Stewart was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set.
Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch reported the following arrests:
—Ricardo Garcia-Hernandez, 36, of Morgan City, was arrested at 11:26 a.m. Tuesday for resisting an officer by giving false information.
Hernandez, upon his initial arrest, provided a false name during booking procedures. Officers discovered Hernandez’s true identity. Officers added the charge and Hernandez is still being held.
—Mary Ann Delaney, 49, of Franklin, was arrested at 2:57 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for no inspection sticker, stop sign violation and no motor vehicle insurance.
Delaney was detained by Berwick Police Department. It was discovered that she possessed outstanding warrants for the Morgan City Police Department. Delany was taken to jail and held.
—Dennis Joseph Mitchell, 24, of Patterson, was arrested at 9:33 p.m. Tuesday on warrants for driving under suspension/revocation, no insurance, no vehicle registration, switched license plate, two counts of resisting an officer and a probation violation. He was taken to jail where he is being held on $1,657 bail.
—Linda Mire Dauzat, 45, of Stephensville, was arrested at 1:08 a.m. Wednesday on a fugitive warrant from the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office for unlawful sales of alcohol to persons under 21.
Officers responded to a complaint of an intoxicated person at the Cracker Barrel store located on La. 182 in Morgan City. When they arrived, they came into contact with Dauzat. Officers learned that Dauzat was wanted by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Department. She was taken to Morgan City Jail and is awaiting transfer to St. Martin Parish.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
