School board makes appointments
The St. Mary Parish School Board unanimously approved numerous appointments, including principals at B.E. Boudreaux in Baldwin, Franklin Junior High School and Patterson Junior High School, during its monthly meeting Thursday.
The board appointed Magdalene Drexler as principal at B.E. Boudreaux, Molly Stadalis as principal at Franklin Junior High School and Suzanne Bergeron as principal at Patterson Junior High School.
Drexler replaces Naomi Harding, while Stadalis replaces Karl Bashay and Bergeron replaces Stadalis.
All appointments are effective Wednesday.
Also, assistant principals were appointed at Berwick Junior High School and Berwick Elementary School.
Debra Torline replaces Drexler at BJHS, while Debbie Tompkins replaces Nicol Armato at BES.
Torline’s and Tompkins’ moves are effective July 26.
Other appointments named by the board were: Lillian Conley as head custodian at Patterson High School, effective today, Raymond LaHoste Jr., all district Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioned technician (July 1), Arthur Arceneaux, Maintenance employee for District 2 (today), Craig Colbert, all district Grass Cutter/Painter Grade 4 (today), Elizabeth Theriot, instructional specialist (July 26) and Cheryl Bonin, Account Clerk at the Central Office Complex (Monday).
The board also granted permission to advertise for a school secretary at B.E. Boudreaux Middle School and a custodian at Hattie Watts Elementary School in Patterson.
