Sawmill bass tournament results

The team of Bill McCarty and George Shaheen won the Patterson Cypress Sawmill Bass Tournament on March 31 after they brought in five fish weighing a combined 15.46 pounds.
As the first-place finisher in the stringer competition, the duo won $1,260.
The team was one of 35 that participated in the event Saturday. Participants were allowed to bring in a maximum of five fish with a minimum length of 14 inches.
McCarty/Shaheen easily beat the second-place stringer team of Beau Theriot/Chris Black, who hauled in five fish weighing a combined 11.68 pounds and won $840. Theriot/Black narrowly beat John Domingues/Aaron Choate, who placed third in the stringer division with five fish with a weight of 11.58 pounds. They won $560 for their efforts.
The fourth-place finisher was Joe Guillory, who hauled in five fish weighing 9.86 pounds and won $140.
The first- and second-place Big Bass finishers were Rickey Arceneaux and Shaheen. Arceneaux’s bass weighed 5.82 pounds, and he won $245, while Shaheen placed second with a weight of 4.16 pounds and won $105 for his efforts.
