RUBY NELL SOILEAU ROBICHEAUX

Ruby passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Baton Rouge General Mid-City, surrounded by her family, at the age of 76. She was a native of Mamou and resident of Brusly. Ruby was a retired LPN for 31 years at Convention Street Nursing Center in Baton Rouge.

Visiting will be at Wilbert Funeral Home in Port Allen on Thursday, January 31, from 6 to 9 p.m., with a Rosary at 7 p.m.

Visiting again on Friday, February 1 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brusly from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Matt Lorrain. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum.

Ruby is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ryan E. Robicheaux of Brusly; two daughters, Gwendelyn R. Landry and husband, Chris, of Livonia, and Jacqueline “Jackie” Robicheaux of Brusly; two sons, Ryan E. Robicheaux Jr. and Timothy J. Robicheaux and wife, Christina, all of Brusly; one brother, Dale Soileau and wife, Dorian, of Denham Springs; six grandchildren, TJ Robicheaux and wife, Emma; Donielle, Kaylin Robicheaux and fiancé, Garrett Couvillon; and Kyle Robicheaux, Jarhett and Jade Theriot; two step grandchildren, Tracy Mears and fiancé, Josh Badeaux, and Brittany Mears; two great grandchildren, Isabella Rineheart and Eli James Robicheaux.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Vernice Fontenot Soileau.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Building Fund.
