Raceland women arrested for thefts at Bayou Vista Walmart
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
—Rhonna M. Robertson, 39, of Triple Oak Drive in Raceland, was arrested at 4:56 p.m. Wednesday at Walmart in Bayou Vista for theft.
—Renee Williams, 26, of Shady Trailer Park in Raceland, was arrested at 4:56 p.m. Wednesday at Walmart in Bayou Vista for theft.
A deputy responded to a complaint of a shoplifter. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store security that Turner and Williams had been observed leaving the store with stolen merchandise earlier in the day. The two women then returned to the store and gathered another buggy full of items. Before leaving the store a second time, the women abandoned the buggy and also were observed taking items out of their purses. Turner and Williams were taken to the parish jail and held. Both were released on a $1,000 bail.
—William Clarence Davis Jr., 54, of Mars Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 9:14 p.m. Wednesday for simple battery. A deputy responded to a complaint of battery on Mars Road in Bayou Vista. During the investigation, the deputy learned that the male victim and Davis were involved in an argument when Davis struck the victim. Davis was taken to the parish jail and held. He was released on a $500 bail.
—Crystal Dawn Hart, 28, of Jones Street in Berwick, was arrested at 9:44 a.m. on Wednesday on three warrants of issuing worthless checks. A deputy was called to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin in reference to a warrant. Hart was released on a summons to appear in court on March 20, 2013.
—Joanie Tucker, 22, of Three B’s Lane in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 12:16 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of failure to stop at a stop sign. A deputy responding to a complaint on Todd Lane in Bayou Vista came into contact with Tucker and learned of the warrant for her arrest. She was taken to the parish jail and held. She was released on a $319.50 bail.
—Draven Lafleur, 17, of La. 182 West in Patterson, was arrested at 12:37 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for criminal trespassing. Lafleur turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City on the warrant. He was released on a summons to appear in court on March 20, 2012.
—Jana Jones, 37, of First Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 8:38 p.m. Wednesday for possession of a Legend Drug (Eskalith CR), possession of drug paraphernalia, turn signal required, and on a warrant for drug court violation.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division detectives were patrolling the Morgan City area when they observed a vehicle turn onto Union Street without signaling. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and met with the driver, identified as Jones. During the investigation, detectives located Eskalith CR pills and a pipe. Detectives also learned that Jones was wanted on an active warrant. She was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail has been set.
Morgan City Assistant Police Chief Glenn Blanco reported the following arrest:
—Peter Parrish, 61, of La. 182 East in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:57 p.m. Wednesday and charged with a warrant for probation violation. Parrish was jailed and held with no bail set.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—A juvenile, 13, was arrested at 3:48 p.m. Wednesday for domestic abuse battery and was released.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
