Police Reports 7-21-11
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests from the past 24-hour reporting period:
Crystal Pittman, 28, of 111 Calhoun St., Amelia, was arrested Wednesday at 4:03 p.m. on warrants charging her with failure to appear on charges of neon lights prohibited and theft. She was released on a $3,750 bond.
Edgar J. Mayon, 19, of 804 South Everett St., Morgan City, was arrested Wednesday at 7:08 p.m. on charges of conditions of windshield, possession of synthetic marijuana and abuse of toxic vapors. He was released on a summons.
Dewan Edmond, 34, of 184 Dinkins Road, Charenton, was arrested Wednesday at 11:26 p.m. on a charge of domestic battery. No bond was set.
Roderick Dominick, 36, of 140 Edmons Lane, Charenton, was arrested Wednesday at 11:26 p.m. on warrants charging him with failure to appear on charges of domestic battery, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and issuing worthless checks. He was held on a $15,300 bond.
Multi-jurisdictional Drug Task Force members reported the arrest of Harold Randle, 29, of 142 Mary Garrett Lane, Charenton, Wednesday at 3:26 p.m. on charges of possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of a drug free zone and Lafayette Parish warrants charging him with failure to appear on charges of expired inspection sticker and driving under suspension. He was given a $5,000 bond locally and turned over to Lafayette authorities.
Jermaine Brown, 25, of 400 Nora St., Franklin, and Ronnie Boatman, 32, of 1701 Pine St., Franklin, were arrested Wednesday at 5:42 p.m. on charges of manufacturing crack cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, keeping a disorderly place, violation of the controlled dangerous substance law, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia. Brown was also charged with 12 counts of public intimidation and Boatman was charged with obstruction of justice and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. No bonds were set.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Jimmy Wiley Jr., 42, of Irish Bend Road, Franklin, Wednesday at 4:23 p.m. on a bench warrant. He was released to appear in court.
Gladys Layton, 49, of Third Street, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 4:54 p.m. on a charge of disturbing the peace by fighting. She was released on a $250 bond.
Lashaun Ruffin, 33, of Fourth Street, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 4:54 p.m. on a charge of disturbing the peace by fighting. He was released to appear in court.
Chitimacha Police Chief Blaise Smith reported the arrest of Fred Esta, 36, of Lafayette, Wednesday at 7:14 a.m. on charges of three counts of issuing worthless checks for Caldwell Parish. He was held to await transfer.
