Police Reports 2-25-13

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests this morning:

Jacolby James Chevalier, 27, of Carl C. Foulcard Drive, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 4:20 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear on a charge of speeding. He was held on $298 bond.

Todd Anthony Verdun, 24, of Verdun Lane, Centerville, was arrested Saturday at 10:35 p.m. on charges of second offense possession of marijuana and second offense possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on $8,000 bond.

Wentrell Ahmon Thomas, 23, of Seventh Street, Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 10:41 p.m. on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on $3,500 bond.

Willis Morris Jenkins, 34, of Willow Street, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 7:54 a.m. on warrants charging him with failure to appear on traffic charges. He was released on a $415 cash fine.

A juvenile male, age 15, was charged Friday with disturbing the peace by fighting; a 14-year-old male was charged Friday with disturbing the peace by fighting; and a 16-year-old female was charged Friday with disturbing the peace and being an ungovernable juvenile. All were released to guardians pending juvenile court.

Chitimacha Police Chief Blaise Smith reported the arrest of Robert Bourque, 30, of Duson, Sunday at 1:50 on a charge of simple battery. He was released on a summons.

Melvin Notto, 53, of Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 2:15 a.m. on a charge of disturbing the peace intoxicated. He was released on a summons.

Carlin Stelly, 35, of Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 2:30 a.m. on a charge of simple battery. He was released on a summons.

Duana Billiot, 33, of Baldwin, was arrested Sunday at 5 a.m. on a charge of simple battery. She was released on a summons.

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the arrest of Carol Guidry, 63, of Solar Apartments, No. 15, Morgan City, Friday at 9:56 a.m. on a warrant charging her with issuing worthless checks. She was released on a summons.

Amanda McCormick, 35, of Houma, was arrested Friday at 3:19 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to appear on charges of driving under suspension, speeding and open alcohol container. She was released on $12,000 bond.

Jody Landry, 21, of 805 Teche Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested Friday at 11:06 p.m. on charges of DWI, hit and run and careless operation with an accident. He was released on $3,750 bond.

Christopher Singleton, 27, of 150 Friendship Alley, Amelia, was arrested Saturday at 4:28 a.m. on charges of reckless operation and simple criminal damage to property over $1,500. No bond was set.

Lynette C. Butler, 47, of 492 Verdun Lane, Centerville, was arrested Saturday at 9:08 a.m. on a warrant charging her with issuing worthless checks. She was released on a summons.

Kiana Butler, 22, of 1004 Birch St., Morgan City, was arrested Saturday at 10:01 a.m. on a warrant charging her with issuing worthless checks. She was released on a summons.

Thuy Thu Chau, 27, of 514 Leo Drive, Patterson, was arrested Saturday at 11:14 a.m. on a warrant charging her with issuing worthless checks. She was released on a summons.

Dionne M. Thomas, 41, of 502½ Lawrence St., Morgan City, was arrested Sunday at 8:10 a.m. on warrants charging her with issuing worthless checks. She was released on a summons.

Barbara G. Byers, 55, of 417½ Garber St., Morgan City, was arrested Sunday at 10:06 a.m. on a warrant charging her with issuing worthless checks. She was released on a summons.

Ann R. Brown, 42, of 803 Park St., Patterson, was arrested Sunday at 2:01 p.m. on a warrant charging her with issuing worthless checks. She was released on a summons.

Eric Leleaux Jr., 20, of 3370 Fourth St., Berwick, was arrested Sunday at 4:17 p.m. on warrants charging him with failure to comply with the terms of drug court after being charged with theft and unauthorized entry of a business. He was held on $200,000 bond.

Timothy Charles Bauer, 51, of 301 Grizzaffi Road, No. 35, Morgan City, was arrested Sunday at 4:26 p.m. on charges of possession of marijuana, two counts of battery on a police officer, simple criminal damage to property, disturbing the peace by using foul language, disarming a police officer, two counts of resisting a police officer, resisting a police officer by force, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of threatening a public official, criminal trespassing and obstruction of justice. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area responded to a report of a suspicious person on Clarke Road. Upon arrival the deputy made contact with a subject identified as Bauer. As the deputy began speaking with Bauer he reportedly became belligerent and used profanity. The deputy observed Bauer attempting to hide a plastic bag containing suspected marijuana. The bag fell to the ground and Bauer stepped on it. When the deputy asked that Bauer move his foot, he refused. During the course of the investigation Bauer continually used foul language. As Bauer was being placed in the patrol unit he kicked a deputy in the face and also struck the deputy’s duty weapon. No bond is set.

Samuel G. Horseley Jr., 51, of Denham Springs, was arrested Sunday at 6:05 p.m. on charges of DWI and careless operation with an accident. No bond was set.

David Lenes Aucoin, 35, of New Iberia, was arrested Sunday at 10:27 p.m. on a warrant charging him failure to appear on a charge of driving under suspension. He was held on $2,500 bond.

The sheriff’s office narcotics division reported the arrest of Gordon Chris Helman, 43, of 1710 Main St., Patterson, Friday at 1:06 p.m. on charges of possession of marijuana, disturbing the peace and failure to signal. He was released on $2,500 bond.

Brandy Giroir, 28, of 1316 Victoria Riverside Road, Patterson, was arrested Friday at 3:11 p.m. on a charge of possession of a Schedule II narcotic. She was released on $5,000 bond.
