Police Reports 11-2-11

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests this morning.

Devin Mayon, 18, of 297 Grey Eagle Road, No. 1, Charenton, was arrested Monday at 11:19 a.m. on a charge of simple criminal damage to property. He was released on a summons.

Chad Williams, 23, of 300 Teche Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested Monday at 11:43 a.m. on warrants charging him with theft, criminal trespassing and parole violation. No bond was set.

Troy Jones Sr., 47, of 101 Arkansas St., Morgan City, was arrested Monday at 3:06 p.m. on charges of stop sign violation, failure to use signal, flight from an officer, driving under suspension, no proof of insurance and open container. He was released on $3,250 bond.

Ophelia McClarity, 49, of 175 Roy’s Lane, Centerville, was arrested Tuesday at 11:01 a.m. on a warrant charging her with probation violation. No bond was set.

Earl D. Thomas, 67, of 321 La. 182, Lot 11, Patterson, was arrested Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. on a charge of simple battery. He was released on $500 bond.

Jacques W. Abshire, 24, of Abbeville, was arrested Tuesday at 9:43 p.m. on a charge of driving under suspension. He was released on a summons.

Multi-jurisdictional Drug Task Force members reported the arrest of Kendrick L. Nolan, 21, of 103 Beau Lane, Bayou Vista, Monday at 5:15 p.m. on a warrant charging him with distribution of cocaine. He was released on $25,000 bond.

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Quinton D. Lewis, 24, of Church Street, Jeanerette, Tuesday at 1:39 a.m. on charges of resisting by giving false information, principal to illegal use of a weapon or dangerous instrument and principal to aggravated criminal damage to property. No bond was set.

Reggie Lvelle Ireland, 23, of Houston, Texas, was arrested Tuesday at 1:39 a.m. on charges of aggravated obstruction of a highway, second offense possession of marijuana, principal to illegal use of a weapon and principal to aggravated criminal damage to property. No bond was set.

Leslie Charles Jackson Jr., 28, of Oakdale Street, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 9:12 p.m. on charges of principal to illegal use of a weapon or dangerous instrument and principle to aggravated criminal damage to property. No bond was set.

They were all arrested in connection with an altercation at a city convenience store that ended with several shots being fired into the rear window of a vehicle as it was pulling away from the station. No injuries were reported, and police say further arrests are pending.
