Patterson man on St. Mary Parish's Most Wanted arrested in Bayou Vista
PATTERSON, La. — A Patterson man, who was on the Patterson Police Department’s Most Wanted list published in The Daily Review, was arrested by St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s deputies, according to a news release from Sheriff Mark Hebert.
Mark Hilliard, 30, was arrested at 1:26 a.m. today on Moon Road in Bayou Vista, by St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s deputies on warrants from Patterson police for home invasion, simple battery, criminal damage to property, simple battery-domestic battery and theft.
Hilliard was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail was set as of this morning.
Hilliard’s address was listed as First Street in Patterson in June’s Most Wanted edition.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle said the sheriff’s office told his department this morning that deputies were dispatched to an area in Bayou Vista regarding a suspicious vehicle matching the description of a vehicle Mark Hilliard could possibly be driving. The vehicle was stopped by deputies as it was getting ready to turn into a residence on Moon Road, LaSalle said his office was told.
Twenty-one suspects on the St. Mary Parish’s Most Wanted list have been arrested since The Daily Review began the series in September 2012.
