Patterson man arrested on drug-related charge

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reports the following arrests:

—Larry Joseph Marceaux, of Willowbend Drive, Patterson, was arrested at his residence at 11:02 a.m. Tuesday for possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy was dispatched to the home to assist Louisiana State Probation and Parole agents. Agents told the deputy that while placing Marceaux under arrest on warrants he had been found to be in possession of a pipe commonly used to smoke marijuana. He remains jailed with bail not yet set.

—Gerald Mitchell Sr., 55, of Mitchell Street, Franklin, was arrested at 8:32 p.m. Tuesday on Irish Bend Road near Gum Point Lane in Franklin for obstruction of justice, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a Schedule II drug (crack cocaine). A deputy patrolling the Franklin area observed Mitchell walking towards the patrol unit. While speaking with the deputy, Mitchell dropped a metal pipe commonly used to smoke illegal drugs, the report stated. Two white rocks, suspected to be crack cocaine, were found in Mitchell’s possession, the report stated. Mitchell remains jailed with bail not yet set.

—Robert Lee Taylor, 28, of Mars Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 10:55 a.m. Monday at the parish jail in Centerville on a warrant for possession of stolen property. The warrant stems from an investigation of a burglary that occurred in Bayou Vista, and the warrant was executed at a camper trailer in which Taylor was staying. Items that had been reported stolen were located during the search. Taylor was already jailed at the time of this arrest. No bail has yet been set.

—Donald Richard Jr., 31, of Newman Street, Baldwin, was arrested at 6:23 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 90 in Baldwin for possession of marijuana, resisting an officer, failure to use a turn signal and open alcoholic container in a motor vehicle. Narcotics Division agents patrolling the Baldwin area conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that did not signal a turn. After receiving consent to search Richard, agents located marijuana on his person, the report stated. During the investigation, Richard became combative, resisting agents, and an open container of alcohol was located inside the vehicle, the report stated. Richard was jailed with bail not yet set.

—Nicole St. Germain, 39, of Druilhet Street, Jeanerette, was arrested at 7:06 p.m. Tuesday on Bollard Street in Baldwin for possession of marijuana second offense. She remains jailed with bail not yet set.

—Brandon Allen, 27, of Cypress Lane, Jeanerette, was arrested at 7:06 p.m. Tuesday on Bollard Street in Baldwin for possession of cocaine. He remains jailed with bail not yet set.

The following two individuals were arrested at their residence on Grizzaffi Street in Morgan City at 3:01 p.m. Tuesday for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia: Scotty Paul Miller, 21; and Tyler Joseph Voisin, 21. They were released on summonses to appear in court in January.

Morgan City police made the following arrests overnight, according to Assistant Chief Glenn Blanco:

—Earlissa Granger, 30, of Arizona Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:51 a.m. Tuesday on warrants for failure-to-appear for remaining where forbidden and for failure-to-appear for disturbing the peace. She was observed at CVS pharmacy by officers and a local warrant check was made. She was arrested and remains jailed with bail not yet set.

—Mark Magee, 49, of Avenue E, Westwego, was arrested at 8:53 p.m. Tuesday for disturbing the peace, intoxicated. Officers were called to Shoney’s Restaurant in reference to an intoxicated person causing a disturbance. Magee was located outside the restaurant near the front door. Officers approached him and determined that he was intoxicated, the report stated. He was arrested and remains jailed with a $292 bail.

The following two arrests were made at 5:33 a.m. today when detectives executed a search warrant because of suspected narcotics being sold out of a home on First Street.

—Dontrell Carter, 28, of First Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:33 a.m. for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. He remains jailed with bail not yet set.

—Shakettia Franklin, 27, of First Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:33 a.m. for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. She remains jailed with bail not yet set.
