University Lab jumped on Patterson with six runs in the first inning en route to a 10-0 win in the first-round of the Class 3A state playoff Friday in Baton Rouge.

Two ‘Jacks to play college football

Malik Garrett, an offensive lineman at Patterson High School, signed Friday to attend Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas, on a football scholarship. Patterson’s golf team finishes season after regional play

Patterson ended its golf season Tuesday at the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Division III, Region II (Districts 3 and 4) golf tournament at The Atchafalaya at Idlewild near Patterson. Team members and their scores are, Bryce Beaubouef, 76; Cade Thibodaux, 78; Kenny Singleton, 96; Joel Singleton, 101 and Trey Olwell, 118.
