The duo of Brad Guidry and Lee Bierhorst won St. Mary Elite Bass’ February tournament based out of Jesse Fontenot Landing in Berwick.

Long after the last taillight from a visitor’s car that attended the 10th Annual Eagle Expo last weekend faded down the highway, it occurred to me we’ll still be here.

Youngster learns to master swamp

Two days after Christmas this past year, 11-year-old Jonathan Cheely walked behind his father Jamie Cheely in knee-deep water and rain to make an afternoon hunt in the Atchafalaya Basin swamp.

Morgan City Bass Masters awards

The Morgan City Bass Masters held its annual meeting Wednesday. Awards were given to the top three fishermen and to the fisherman who had the biggest bass for the year.
