Viola Paul was a resident of Morgan City, born in Gibson, and passed away Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at the age of 90.
Viola was an amazing lady and she enjoyed life to its fullest. Viola loved her family unconditionally and did everything in her power to see they were successful. Viola enjoyed crocheting and gave every one who visited a kitchen towel. She liked to spend time on her porch swing. She loved the Lord immensely and was a member of First Baptist Church Morgan City for 50 years. She worked in the nursery for a countless number of years, taking care of many generations of children. She also had a career at Morgan and Lindsey’s for more than10 years.
Viola leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughter, Myrna Jane Paul Cook and companion, Jose Lopez, of Morgan City; her grandchildren, David Joshua Randle Sr. and his wife, Brenda, Jason Paul Randle and his companion, Katherine, Danny Glynn Cook Sr. and his wife, Tonda, and Ruben Shane Cook and his companion, Jaime; great-grandchildren, Mariah Carey Cook and her companion, Kurwin, Danny Glynn Cook Jr., Briana Lyn Cook, Clyde Alexander Cook, David Joshua Randle Jr., and Danielle Johnson and her husband, Hanky; and great-great-grandchildren, Aydan Jamaud Jones and Gabriel Frank Randle
Viola was preceded in death by her father, Clofa Lee; her mother, Genevieve Arceneaux Lee; her husband, George Alexander Paul; children, Danny Lee Paul and Jo’ Ann Paul Randle; a son-in-law, Glynn Dale Cook; and brothers, William Lee and Harold Lee.
Visitation will be at Hargrave Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2013. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Dan Brown at 2 p.m. Viola will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
