ROSEMARY PAUL TAURIAC
LYDIA — A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Charles W. Tauriac, the former Rosemary “Rosie” Paul, 62, at 11 a.m., Friday, April 25, 2014 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Fr. Gregory Chauvin officiating. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Patoutville.
Visitation will be held at St. Nicholas Catholic Church from 8:30 a.m. Friday until service time. A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m.
A native of Verdunville and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Tauriac passed away at 11:15 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2014 at his daughter’s residence.
Mrs. Rosie was a very creative and kind person who loved spending time with her family and grandkids. She was a wonderful baker who was known for her Italian Cream cake and Strawberry Cream cheese cake. Mrs. Rosie will be missed dearly by her family and extended family.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Charles W. Tauriac of Patoutville; one daughter, Gentile T. Hamilton and her husband, William, of Addis, La; two grandchildren, Brooklynn and Kennedy Hamilton; her father, Floyd Paul Sr.; one brother, Floyd Paul Jr.; two sisters, Audrey Mcllwain and husband, Ronnie, all of Verdunville, and Mildred Young and her husband, Verner Lee of Rayne; her aunt, Mary Bourgeois and husband, Dennis, of Verdunville; and her special cousins, Aaron Burgess, Reginald Burgess and Angela Gunner.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Corrine Verdun Paul; her special aunts, Sadie Paul and Juanita Burgess; two sisters, Flora Helphenstine and Katherine Paul and one brother, Roy Paul.
Pallbearers will be Johnny C. Helaire, Christopher Paul, Greg LeBlanc Jr., Floyd Paul Jr., William Hamilton, Jade Sigue and Johnny Helaire. Floyd Paul Sr. and Verner Lee Young will serve as honorary pallbearers.
