MS. JESSIE MAE LOCKLEY
Ms. Jessie Mae Lockley, 69, a resident and native of Franklin, died Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 6:55 a.m., at Iberia Medical Center following a short illness.
She is survived by four sons, Kerwin Bowser (his wife, Cynthia) of Salt Lake City, Utah; Erric P. Lockley Sr. (his wife, Tippanie) and Arthur Lockley IV, both of Dallas, Texas; and Rodney Phillips (his wife, Monique) of Berwick; five daughters, Mrs. Monica Murdock John (her husband, Gabriel) of Franklin, Mrs. Bridgett Burke (her husband, Arnell) of Hahnville; Ms. Lesa Jones of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Dana Lockley Bruno (her husband, Retired Police Officer David) of Baldwin; and Mrs. LaShawn Thibodeaux (her husband, Abraham) of Youngsville; one brother, Robert Lee Mapp Jr. (his wife, Barbara) of New Iberia; 24 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Ms. Lockley was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents, one sister, one uncle, one aunt and two great grandchildren.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, June 21, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Triune Church of God in Christ at 1118 Barrow St. in Franklin.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with Elder Donald Lanceslin officiating. Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery, located along the bayou side off of Main Street in Franklin.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
