Mrs. Louise Green Verrett, 85, a resident of the St. Joseph Community and native of Franklin, died Friday, January 31, 2014, at 5:30 a.m., at the Franklin Foundation Hospital following a short illness.
She is survived by two sons, Norman Verrett Jr. (his wife, Shelia) and Don Louis Verrett (his wife, Evangelist Diane), both of Franklin; three daughters, Ms. Myrtle Marie Mickles, Ms. Annie Lois Randle and Mrs. Lilly Faye Thomas (her husband, Tony), all of Franklin; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Verrett was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, five brothers, one grandson and one great grandson.
Visitations will be Saturday, Feb. 8, from 10 a.m., to 1 p.m., at New Mt. Horeb Baptist Church, 3040 Irish Bend Road in Franklin.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 1 p.m., at that church, with the Rev. James F. Otis officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery on Irish Bend Road.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
