Keisha Y. Brown, 42, a native of Morgan City and a resident of Mount Pleasant, Michigan, died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 7:32 p.m., at her residence in Mount Pleasant.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 17, at Siracusaville Recreation Center, 1110 Grace St., in Morgan City, from 11 a.m. until funeral services beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Keisha was head coach for the Alma College women’s basketball program and head coach for the Scots for five years. Please make any donations to Angel Wings Fund, which was setup after being diagnosed with breast cancer, for college scholarships for children who have lost a parent to cancer.
Keisha is survived by her husband, Damon Brown and her daughter, Angel, both of Mt. Pleasant; mother, Mamie Johnson of Mt. Pleasant; father-in-law Paul Brown of Youngstown, Ohio; three brothers, Johnnie Johnson Jr., of Amelia, Troy Madise of Morgan City and Trent Madise of New Iberia; two sisters, Mrs. Dwayne (Sonya) Celestin of Houma and Mrs. Carl (Angela) Young of Morgan City; two god-daughters; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother-in-law, grandparents, two aunts and two uncles.
