Irmanease “Ms. Irma” Williams, 62, a native of White Castle and a resident of Amelia, died Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 5:45 p.m. in Amelia.
Ms. Irma was an employee for Community Action Agency for 28 years, worked at Baby Bear Head Start in Morgan City, Goldilocks Head Start in Siracusa, La., Winnie The Pooh Head Start in Amelia, and a worker at Amelia Recreation Center for 24 years.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Union Bethel AME Church, 956 Lake Palourde Rd., Amelia, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Ms. Irma leaves to cherish her memories a daughter, Jacqueline Clark of Amelia; three sons, Levy Williams III, Edward Williams and John Williams all of Amelia; a sister, Mary G. Holly of Amelia; three brothers, Jerry Gaskins and Perry Gaskins, both of Amelia, and David Gaskins of Morgan City; 10 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; six godchildren; three sisters-in-laws; and a host of relatives and friends.
Ms. Irma was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and a sister.
