Alvin “Lumpy” Barrow, 62, a resident and native of Morgan City, died Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 11:46 a.m., at Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center in Houma.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 14, at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, 113 Federal Ave. in Morgan City, from 11 a.m. until funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Alvin known as “Lumpy” leaves to cherish many memories, his friend, wife and love, Mona D. Barrow of Morgan City; one son, Johnny White Jr. of Morgan City; four brothers, Romas Bourgeois and Ronald Barrow, both of Morgan City, Joseph Williams of Bell Rose, La. and Westley Williams of San Diego, California; four sisters, Sherry Barrow and Mrs. Ronald (Tracey) Campbell, both of Morgan City, Mrs. Arnold (Rezona) Verrett of Thibodaux and Mrs. Charles (Carolyn) Brown of Houma; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five godchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and close friends.
Mr. Barrow was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, two sisters, his loving grandparents, his mother-in-law, his brothers-in-law and his sisters-in-law.
