A University of Louisiana at Lafayette research project aboard the International Space Station will study how plants sense and react to gravity. Brassica rapa plants have been encapsulated in a semi-autonomous device and exposed to powerful magnetic fields. The objective of the biology research is to examine how directional forces affect plant growth in a nearly weightless environment.
