Multiple arrests after two fights in Franklin Tuesday

Franklin police broke up two street fights Tuesday evening and arrested several adults and juveniles.

The first altercation occurred on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard between Fourth and Seventh streets.

Arrested at about 4 p.m. were:

Lazine McDaniel Jr., 18, of Branch Street, Franklin, charged with disturbing the peace by fighting and released on $250 bond.

Courtney McDaniel, 24, of Third Street, Franklin, charged with disturbing the peace by fighting and released on $250 bond.

Drashon August, 22, of Branch Street, Franklin, charged with disturbing the peace and reckless operation. He was released on $1,250 bond.

Cornelius Grimm, 18, of Seventh Street, Franklin, was charged with disturbing the peace by fighting, aggravated assault and aggravated assault with a weapon (knife.) He was released on $2,250 bond.

Soon after the first fight was broken up, another broke out in the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Seventh Street. Police arrested:

Shontranice McDaniel, 18, of Gum Street, Franklin on a charge of disturbing the peace by fighting. She was held on $250 bond.

Erica Willis, 32, of Seventh Street, Franklin, was charged with disturbing the peace by fighting. She was released on $357 bond.

Two 16-year-old males were charged with disturbing the peace by fighting and released to guardians pending juvenile court.

Two males, one age 16 the other age 14, were charged with disturbing the peace by fighting and resisting an officer. They were released to guardians pending juvenile court.
