A trash can and three benches were found turned over this morning at Lawrence Park in Morgan City. However, there was no damage to the benches or any other items at the park, Morgan City Mayor Frank “Boo” Grizzaffi said.

A safety switch detected an electrical problem and opened up, which shut off the city’s electrical supply from Cleco this morning, Bill Cefalu, city utilities director, said.
