Morgan City man arrested for failing to comply with drug court terms
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
—Kristopher Savoie, 33, of the 100 block of Todds Lane in Morgan City, was arrested at 2:23 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. Savoie turned himself in to a deputy at a treatment center in Bayou Vista after learning of the warrant for his arrest. He was taken to the parish jail and held. Bail is set at $100,000.
—Heidi Hoffpauir, 44, of the 500 block of Teche Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 9:14 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant for telephone harassment. A deputy located Hoffpauir at her residence on the warrant. She was taken to the parish jail and held. Hoffpauir was released on a $500 bail.
—A male, 15, of Patterson was arrested at 11:21 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant for failure to appear for a drug court status conference and failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. A deputy located the juvenile on the warrant. He was transported to the Assumption Parish Juvenile Detention Center.
—Reis William Stelly Sr., 33, of the 5100 block of La. 330 in Erath, was arrested at 4:07 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for failure to appear for a revocation hearing on the charge of cheating and swindling. A deputy transported Stelly from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail is set.
—Draper Queen, 31, of the 1100 block of Roussel Street in Houma, was arrested at 9:32 p.m. Wednesday for possession of drug paraphernalia. Narcotics detectives patrolling the Amelia area observed a vehicle make an improper turn on La. 182 and conducted a traffic stop. Detectives made contact with a passenger in the vehicle identified as Queen and received consent to search him, Hebert said. Detectives located a plastic straw with suspected cocaine residue on it. Queen was released on a summons to appear in court on Nov. 6.
Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch reported the following arrests:
—William Robert Rittenbery, 49, of Front Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 12:45 a.m. today for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, improper lane usage, and possession of schedule III controlled dangerous substance.
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner in the area of La. 182 near Cottonwood Street.
Officers stopped the vehicle and upon coming into contact with the driver, Rittenbery, he was found to exhibit signs of impairment, Crouch said. Officers conducted a field sobriety test in which the subject performed poorly. He was taken to the Morgan City Police Department where he refused the Intoxilyzer 5000 test, Crouch said. Upon his arrest, Rittenbery was found to be in possession of a schedule III controlled dangerous substance-Lortab and was additionally charged. He was taken to jail and held.
—Brandon James Thibodeaux, 25, of North Prescott in Morgan City, was arrested at 1:27 a.m. today for operating a vehicle while intoxicated second offense and speeding 55 mph in a 35 mph zone.
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle being driven in an excessive speed in the area of La. 182 and La. 70. The vehicle was stopped and the driver detained. Officers advised that the driver, identified as Thibodeaux, exhibited signs of impairment.
He was given a field sobriety test in which he did poorly, Crouch said. He was taken to the Morgan City Police Department where he submitted to an Intoxilyzer 5000 test, results being .131 grams-percent. Thibodeaux, according to his previous record, was charged with second offense due to a previous conviction for operating while intoxicated.
—Gregory L. Worthey, 42, of Front Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 2:34 a.m. today for operating a vehicle while intoxicated second offense, driving with a suspended driver’s license, no license plate light, and no insurance.
—Keyana Capri Davis, 17, of Cardinal Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 11:02 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant for simple assault, and on a warrant for criminal damage to property.
Davis came to the Morgan City Police Department where he was arrested on outstanding warrants. He was taken to jail and held on $834 bail.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Tiffany Romero, 33, of Nicole Lane in Berwick, was arrested at 9:52 a.m. Wednesday on warrant for telephone harassment. Romero was released on $1,000 bail.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
