Morgan City man arrested for domestic abuse battery
Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch reported the following arrest:
—Anthony Ed James, 22, of Egle Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 12:09 p.m. Thursday for domestic abuse battery
Officers responded to a residence on Egle Street in Morgan City after being summoned by a female. When officers arrived they discovered James had been involved in a physical altercation with the unnamed female, the report stated. The female received minor injuries during the altercation. James was arrested for domestic abuse battery and taken to the Morgan City Jail where he remains on a $5,000 bail.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Dewayne Henson, 24, of Houma, was arrested at 4:53 a.m. Friday for driving under suspension. He is being held with bail set at $1,250.
Patterson police arrested the following:
—Wanya Francis, 18, of Live Oak Street in Patterson, was arrested at 12:59 p.m. Monday on a warrant for theft more than $500. Francis is being held.
—Alonzo Bennett, 27, of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Patterson, was arrested at 4:37 p.m. Monday for loud music in vehicle and no driver’s license. Bennett paid the fine and was released.
—James Joseph, 61, of Paradise Lane in Patterson, was arrested at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday for theft less than $300 and criminal trespass. Joseph was released on bail.
Railroad Avenue intersection to close Monday for repairs
MORGAN CITY — The intersection of East Boulevard and Railroad Avenue will be closed due to road repairs beginning Monday continuing through March 29.
